WM Triathlon qualification: Holger Pollmeier secures sought after start

CEO Holger Pollmeier has secured his ticket for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship. In the course of the Ironman XC Executive Challenge for successful entrepreneurs, he qualified June 5 in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland.

For the sporting businessman, who has been competing in triathlons for ten years, this means training hard every day. After all, competition at the World Championship, September 11, in Las Vegas is tough. In addition to this, Pollmeier will be competing in the Ironman Germany event in Frankfurt am Main July 24.
Competitors who qualify here, are allowed to take part in the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona (Hawaii) – the ultimate challenge for any triathlete in the world. The annual event, which has been held since 1978, is regarded as one of the most difficult endurance sports events in the world. The competitors have to swim no less than 3.86 kilometres, cycle 180 kilometres and run 42.195 kilometres.
"If I can qualify for two world championships this year, it will be a dream come true", Pollmeier reveals.
